The FORTIS Protection Systems Group d.o.o. Business Group is specialised in the development and production of innovative and lightweight ballistic composites for the protection of vehicles, buildings and people. The business group has developed on the basis of many years of trustful cooperation between partners, who now work as partners of one business group with a common R&D centre and common interests. FORTIS develops innovative and lightweight ballistic composites, which, with the same ballistic protection level, reduce the weight of products by an average of 40% – 60%. The FORTIS ballistic composites are used in the military, police and private spheres of ballistic protection. The production of composite materials include Slovenian knowledge and combine the Slovenian glass and steel industries and the processing of plastics, especially polyethylene, and acrylic glass.
